5/ 5

What a wonderful b&b! Our honeymoon to Spain was cancelled due to the virus and we stumbled across Maywalk House last minute. We can’t recommend this place enough- a unique blend of a private self-contained apartment and b&b. It allows for privacy (own entrance, bathroom & kitchen/diner) whilst still having Felicity and Gary on hand for anything. The breakfast was delicious and kept us full until tea time. We ate out most nights but it was good to have the option of staying in and cooking if needed. Felicity and Gary are lovely and very helpful giving tips on where to go for walks/day trips. Gary even lent us his raincoat as we forgot to bring one! The place itself is clean, comfortable and tastefully done. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable and bathroom spacious. Lovely views from the bedroom out to Eyam and the rolling hills. From the b&b you can walk 5 mins down the hill to the village and there are plenty of walks right on the doorstep. Great location for walking and getting to Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall on rainy days. We also enjoyed visiting Bakewell which is a short drive away. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much Felicity, Gary and Joe!

5/ 5

It is a cosy apartment and has a fabulous view over Eyam village and the hills beyond from the bedroom. The spotless and well equipped kitchen was very handy, with complimentary fruit biscuits and yoghurts provided. I was made very welcome on arrival, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was excellent and kept me going all day.
