Ye Olde Leathern Bottel

Sunday lunch was a big disappointment: They ran out of roast beef so I opted for the supposedly slow cooked short rib of beef but it was tough and did not come away from the bone. My wife ordered the trio of meats but had to settle for just pork and turkey which were both dry. They also ran out of her chosen red wine. The sticky toffee pud was scrummy but it could have done with more custard. Two courses took nearly 2 hours which was too long. I wouldn't use them for Sunday lunch again as they are very busy and struggling to maintain food and service standards.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great range of drinks and food at reasonable prices. Welcome environment on a rainy Saturday evening. Great bar staff.

Visited Friday evening. Fairly busy but staff working very hard. Lovely pint of Tribute. Food very good and well presented. Very good service.

Pleasantly surprised with the food. Though the service was slow when ordering drinks for the table. Good selection of beers and wines on offer. Plenty of space between tables. Fair price for food and drinks.

Nice pub with plenty of character. The menu has a wide range of choice. The food is of a good quality.
