Lovely pub off the main roads, perfect getaway from the London bound M4. The food was excellent. My Beef & Ale pie was very good the pastry was crisp and not too thick (no soggy bottoms here) and the filling was delicious. Lunch for 2 people with a drink for under £20 ... can't beat it👍🤶

Do like the pub but the staff could be a bit more helpful and wouldn't hurt if they put a smile on their face. Young gentleman bar member is lovely natured and helpful and always has a smile on his face. No ice again so a wee trip to Iceland wouldn't have taken long to purchase some bags of ice as 4 days without ice in the middle of summer is no good.
