Opium Den oxford

The very best Chinese restaurant that I have visited among a long list of Californian, British towns. The food has always delivered on taste, portions and value. I have friends who travel from London to Oxford to enjoy some of the great food served there.

I am Dutch but have cooked Chinese food most of my life.. I love this place, cannot wait to go there again. Jacob

The aubergine with minced pork is a must! Been many times and always satisfied! Best to order a few of the more authentic Chinese dishes and share them to enjoy the full menu variety, instead of the rice dishes or set menus. Other personal favourites: pork with rice sticks, green beans and hot and sour soup.

Waiting time is very long. It took them 45min longer to cook it, and they did not even say "sorry". Food taste nice, this is why 3 stars.

Shouldn't be quite on a Saturday night in Oxford. One of the few original authentic Chinese restaurants that has survived the big restaurant chains. Food prices and portions are very generous. Fast efficient and friendly service. 10 out of 10 for the food ....kids absolutely loved it.

I've been here only twice. Every time the cost has been minimal and my belly very full.

The food is okay and plentiful but the drinks are expensive. The karaoke rooms are pretty grimy with a limited choice of music in English, but some classics to sing along to. Card machine was not working... an annoyance.

Absolutely AMAZING!! Quality Chinese cuisine.

Chicken that melts in the mouth. Beef that is full of flavour. Very good staff.
