I moved out of the area a few years ago but visited this store recently. I used to get the paper and other items there regularly until I moved. It is still the well kept store it was then with very pleasant hard working owners. It was really a pleasure to see them again and catch up. Sadly the Post Office IT scandal has caused them years of distress and ill health. I never believed their involvement in it when the scandal broke but others locally did. They were entitled to their belief. Happily their names will soon be cleared but at the loss of their health and esteem amongst the local population. No amount of recompense will remove the many years of lost respect from locals. I hope that the residents of Horsepath will help Vikram and his wife through the next stage of their recovery from these wrongful accusations. I am sure the villagers will want to show their support in the usual tradition of a village party with Bikram and his wife as guests.

I had initially stopped using this shop when they deliberately tried to overcharge me, but today after many months I decided to nip in and get a couple of bits instead of going to Wheatley… bad decision. I walked out and instantly noticed the chocolate bar was already open, and when I exchanged it I found most of them were also open. Got back to the office only to notice the packets of biscuits I brought were also out of date…….. lesson learned again. Avoid.
