It's probably the best supermarket in the town's centre, mid-sized, reasonable variety of stock (well, as long as they do not run of stock which happens quite often unfortunately), ok prices. It can get very busy (especially in the afternoons and evenings, so if you want to avoid queues go in the morning for proper grocery shopping), and as already mentioned it's as well a shame they do not control their stock properly and run of it way too often. Plus, the basement level is only accessible via stairs - it's been months and months the lift's been out of order and I doubt it will ever get repaired - shoppers with children in pushchairs, wheelchair users etc do not need to buy baby, household, health, beauty or pets (and several other) products according to the manager, I suppose. I assume since they always will have clients being this the only bigger supermarket in the very centre they do not have to care much about anything.

5/ 5

Decent size Tesco with wide selection of goods in the heart of Oxford. Opened till late except Sundays. Can be extremely busy without space to walk inside making shopping a bit uncomfortable, especially in the afternoon peak. Although queues look very long it does not take ages to get to the till. Well recommended.

An unpleasant shopping experience. Often chaotic, long queues, can never find what I'm looking for.

The staff are extremely rude in this store , they have no manners and are not nice with customers. I experienced one of them on the cigarette counter tonight being really awful to an older man .

3/ 5

Now cheekily rebranded from a 'Metro' (urban supermarket) to an 'Express' (smaller convenience store). The square footage hasn't changed, but the prices have - typically 10-12% more than before on many staples.
