There are a number of shops I like and use regularly. It is light and kept very clean. Also for me personally well situated for all other shops in that area of Bristol

Increasingly tired and run down, with largely downmarket shops, and several closed units on each floor. Decent choice of food options, but unfortunately this isn't the sort of place to linger in. Thankfully if you need Boots or Waterstones you can access both stores through their exterior entrances and avoid The Galleries proper altogether.

2/ 5

I'm not sure whether it is the composition of shops and empty premises, the fact that it feels empty even when its not, or if its because its a bit run down (or likely a combination of all three), but this is hands down the most depressing shopping centre / mall I have ever been to. The reason most people seem to go in (myself included) is that its a convenient undercover 'shortcut' on the way to Cabot Circus should it be cold or raining. Oh and maybe because they have a giant Boots attached. I didn't give it one star due to the refurb of the small food court, which whilst only having a few shops, does have a broad selection of cuisines.
