Nuffield Road Medical Centre cambridge

I've been using this practice for about nine years, and I've always found them very friendly and helpful. They can't work miracles, but they're doing the best they can in circumstances which are getting more difficult. I am surprised by some of the negative views expressed on this site. They're not consistent with my experience of this surgery.

I have used this practice virtually all my life, extending back to its previous location and name. Although I have always found the doctors (and nurses) to be kind and helpful, in recent years the service has degenerated badly. They clearly are very short staffed and say that they are struggling to recruit doctors but frankly the service currently being offered has fallen to an unacceptable level. Now, that may be the faulty of the "system" rather than failings by the partners in this practice, I simply don't know. However I am seriously considering looking elsewhere.

My family and I have used Nuffield Road Medical Centre for 13 years. They obviously work under extreme pressure but we have nothing but praise for the entire staff.

I am new to the area and checked out a few GP surgeries online before I chose this one. I am glad I did, very good medical service and continuity has been excellent despite rarely see the same GP twice. Also I have found the reception staff to be very thorough and kind both on the phone and at the desk. All in all I am happy with my treatment so far. Thank you all

I have never struggled to get an appointment, the telephone screening service seems to be brilliant and the staff (GPs, nurses and reception team) have always been friendly and helpful. Naturally there are sometimes delays in waiting to be seen but, that's the nature of doctors surgeries given what they have to contend with.

went there and was told i couldnt even enter the building, asked for an appointment and was told i had to use the phone service. the online service is inaccessible and the instructions vague. the phone service does not work.

Inaccessible and confusing online service portal and terrible automated phone line. Finally booked a phone appointment for a simple repeat prescription and they failed to ring without warning of cancellation. Still haven't accessed my medication for weeks/months because of this failed service

I have mental health and I had a medication receiw in June but 2 months later they refuse a man of mental health his medication until he has this review when I ring up to book review there is no spaces ring back tomorrow she says but I work nights 12 hour shifts and I got to get up to ring them when I haven't reported any issues but when I explain this to the lady she just says ok useless I tell you infants could run this surgery smoothly but stick someone who thinks they are better then everyone else on the phone bunch of jokers...

Wouldnt even give it a 1 star review if was possible this doctors is an absolute JOKE! Always has been and just getting worse good luck even trying to make an appointment will take minimum of 20 calls , phone being put down whilst in waiting ques , lines are constantly busy yet noone is EVER THERE WHEN GO IN makes no sense at all defonatly using covid to there advantage thats for sure 😤

Wouldn’t give any stars if I had the choice! Been trying to get hold of someone since half 8 this morning it’s now half 11, over and hour on hold “twice” to be hung up on! I have covid and Pneumonia and need antibiotics but cannot get thru! Worst surgery in Cambridge
