Just OK I'm afraid. Checked in with no fuss, room nice, clean, ideal for a short stay. But breakfast in the morning was appalling. Not enough staff and the food was bad. Fruit juices were fruit juice drink, so flavoured sweet coloured water. Might have seen their parent fruits many many processes ago. Toaster only toasted one side of bread. Pastries dry. Hot breakfast was sweating in roll top steel containers... Bacon was under cooked, sausages looked cheap and meatless. Mushrooms were damp and scrambled egg unpleasant. Really really poor vfm as its another £10/£15 per head.

The staff and hotel went above and beyond throughout our stay. Although it was completely full we were made to feel like they were only looking after us throughout. Special thanks and please let the team know how much we enjoyed our stay.

No senior staff about. Staff looked unhappy and rushing around. Buffet breakfast was cold. Overpriced for what you got. Didn't ask how our stay was. Would only rate this place a 2/3star. Definitely not a 4star.

I have visited a few times for afternoon tea and while the tea, sandwiches, scones, and cakes are delicious, unfortunately the service is unbefitting of a 4-star hotel. On arrival no one was around to seat us, the choice of teas is now reduced to two, and they didn't think to bring or offer milk. Previous visits have always had similar basic issues.
