Sales staff helpful but disappointed in after sales service. Purchased carpets arranged a date to have them delivered and fitted , cleared rooms and waited in on the agreed date .No sign of the carpets I had to,phone the showroom "where are the carpets ?"No one appeared to know was told they would phone back..Carpet fitter had found a fault in the carpet and new carpets required to be ordered. The point is no one phoned to tell me of this defect, if I had not phoned I would still be waiting, this is poor customer service.

Just purchased a new bed from Richard f Mackay , it was long process made all the more pleasant by the personal help and guidance we received from Paul Connelly .Who would have known that choosing a bed frame ,headboard and mattress could take 2 1/2 hours ,well it did in our case.Thankfully we got treated to quality coffee along the way .Would highly recommend anyone looking to upgrade their mattress or bed to visit in store as we did , the product range and options seem almost overwhelming which is where we found the knowledgeable staff to be of massive value .Hoping not to be back in the bed buying market for a long long time and super happy with our Harrison mattress and bed purchase . Friendly staff, ready to sell, willing to wiggle on price. Online may be cheaper, but factor in the value of Mackay's being within travelling distance and you can go see and try out there, plus take delivery cost into consideration. If we don't support locals they will disappear and we'll all have to live with the online lottery.

Really great experience shopping for furniture, staff were very helpful and friendly.

We ordered bedroom furniture from this company at an acceptable price for solid oak items. We were told at the outset about the length of time it would take to get the items and most came in before that date. We really appreciated the care the delivery team took to take these heavy items up the stairs to the bedrooms. They were also assembled with care and attention to detail. All the people we dealt with showed the type of customer care associated with a long standing local company. Mackay's have our seal of approval !

Nice reception function to deal with Covid safety. The manager was friendly and put us at ease. Very knowledgeable staff with a good explanation on the Stressless product range. They seem keen to discuss deals with you and I was happy to make my purchase there and then .

Excellent and friendly service. Delivery personnel very helpful, and went to great trouble to ensure old sofa was safely removed. Would thoroughly recommend!

Danny Brown was very helpful in getting our Neptune kitchen designed and delivered on time - well done particularly during C-19! He was always happy to help.
