INCOMPETENCE COMPOUNDED BY RUDENESS COMPOUNDED BY BEING RIPPED OFF! Absolutely dreadful service in this shop from the staff who left security tags on, and were then totally unapologetic. Having phoned the Laura Ashley shop to complain, when my phone bill came in a few days later I realised I had been charged nearly £4.00 for the phone call to what was a premium rate number, despite the fact that RIP OFF Laura Ashley had failed to advertise their phone number as a premium one! Not only was I inconvenienced by having to return to the shop to get the security tags removed, but was also charged nealry £4.00 for having to complain about the incompetence of the staff in the shop!! INCOMPETENCE, COMPOUNDED BY RUDE and UNAPOLOGETIC STAFF COMPOUNDED BY BEING RIPPED OFF!

RIPP OFF SHOP WITH INCOMPETENT STAFF! Having bought my partner 2 jackets from Laura Ashley, when I got home we discovered the assistant Joan had left a security tag on each jacket. When we had the inconvenience of returning the jackets to the shop (took us 2 hours and cost us over £7.00) Joan was totally unapologetic and stated that she "was only human, and that anyone could make a mistake"! Given that Joan is selling clothes etc most of the day, surely she should know to do a basic thing like ensure she removes the security tags? Before returning the jackets to the shop, we had phoned the manager (who was equally indifferent to the inconvenience caused to us) to complain. When our phone bill came in, we realised we had been charged nearly £4.00 to phone Laura Ashley in George St., which uses a premium rate number in order to make money out of customers who they put in the position of having to phone to complain!! DISGRACEFUL SERVICE FROM INCOMPETENT STAFF, COMPOUNDED BY THEN BEING RIPPED OFF DUE TO LAURA ASHLEY USING A PREMIUM RATE NUMBER, WHICH THEY CONVENIENTLY NEGLECT TO INFORM THEIR CUSTOMERS ABOUT!!! WILL NEVER SHOP AT LAURA ASHLEY AGAIN OUT OF PRINCIPAL!

TOTALLY INCOMPETENT SHOP ASSISTANTS AND MANAGEMENT! My partner bought me 2 coats from Laura Ashley

TOTALLY INCOMPETENT SHOP ASSISTANTS AND MANAGEMENT! My partner bought me 2 coats from Laura Ashley George St, only to discover when he brought them home that the assistant Joan had left the security tags on both coats! When I phoned the assistant manager, Angela Murray, she was totally unconcerned about the inconvenience pf having to return the coats to the shop would cause us. Not only did my partner and I have to pay over £7.00 in bus fare to return the coats to get the security tags removed, but we also discovered when our phone bill came in that we had been charged nearly £4.00 to phone the Laura Ashley shop to complain, owing to the fact that they use a premium rate number (but conveniently neglect to inform people of this fact)! We have contacted Laura Ashley customer service about the above, and although they emailed us to say they would be in contact soon, we are still waiting to hear from them! Is it any wonder Laura Ashley`s profits have slumped when they employ staff who are incompetent, and their customer service is so appalling, and they are also ripping customers off by charging them premium rates when they have been put in the position of having to phone to make a complaint!! Perhaps management and staff at this Laura Ashley should be more focused on basic training needs, with a view to ensuring that staff such as Joan remove huge security tags from garments, so as not to inconvenience Laura Ashley customers! Is it any wonder Laura Ashley`s profits are slumping when they offer such an appalling service?!

Please come back to Perth. Laura Ashley was full of character and always very busy. A pleasure to pop into and look around. For clothes or furniture, lamps etc. We would love to have a Laura Ashley shop back.
