Is not easy to rate the hotel as some experiences were good, while other were quite disappointing. I stayed 3 weeks there and the hotel is not prepared for such long stays. The rooms are small and there is no enough space to hang clothes. The voluntary service from some of the staff in reception provided some extra hangers, although there was still not enough space for clothes. The rooms have no fridges of any kind and I needed one to keep some medicines during my stay. Thanks to the concern from the manager Jamie Stevens, he organizes a small fridge for my room, that was delivered some days later. In between, I was provided with some cooling gel to keep the medicines cold. Once the fridge arrives, the next day, the housekeeper unplugged it, losing my medicines the cold chain for almost 8 hours. Again, thanks to Jamie, he took care and got new medicines for me. He is quite oriented in client satisfaction and being sure that everything runs good.
Bed was very comfy and I love the big pool downstairs. The atmosphere in the lobby was more of a club rather than a hotel, being a relaxed place after work and a cool concept for a city hotel. I was quite disappointed with the food quality. Breakfast was either full of fast sugars and carbohydrates or fatty British one. Food ordered at the restaurant was served in amazing 2 minutes, doubting of it was really fresh made or simply fast food.
From all staff, I have to remark the excellent service, kindness, happiness and willingness to help clients of the Spanish girl at the breakfast service (unfortunately I forgot her name). She make every morning to be a better one. And also, the staff at the gym/pool were very attentive.
Unfortunately, on the last day I have a quite disappointed issue. Although I have booked a taxi days in advance for my departure midday to the station, the taxi never appeared. I know this was not an issue of the hotel, but the receptionist was not very helpful in trying to call a taxi from any company. He repeated “sorry about that” leaving me waiting for half an hour for a taxi that never came. Fortunately, a colleague of mine, whose taxi arrived on time, offered me to use hers (she was still having plenty of time to depart). The taxi drivers was so cool that she makes me arriving to the station one minute before departure.
Definetively, there are things to improve at the hotel, but I’m sure the manager is in the right direction to offer a better service.
