If you are a 'patient' at Haigh Hall, ( it's Haigh Hall NOT Affinity), do not be ill. This is not part of the National Health Service, it is only the National Covid Service. There are 5.9 million people waiting for general treatment, nowhere near as many with covid. This medical centre should be ashamed of itself, but of course won't be. People won't forget, but who at Haigh Hall will ever be bothered. Dreadful!

I have been a patient at Haigh Hall since birth, 34 years. Whilst understandably GPs are suffering with high volumes at the moment, Haigh Hall has gone from a perfectly good, friendly and approachable practice, to one that might as well not exist. As far as I understand this has only started once they merged with Affinity care. Don't bother calling, you won't get through. Waited 3 weeks for a phone appointment for an asthma review (3 weeks, to renew a repeat prescription that I have had since birth) only for the company in charge of the call (perhaps not Haigh Hall) to call early resulting in me missing the call completely due to work commitments. I have managed to get through the robotic reminders on the phone that, sometimes as fast as 10 minutes, only for the phone to ring, and ring, and ring, and ring, and ring.. etc. Honestly, at this point I am not even sure the GP practice exists. You can't go in person, you can't get through on the phone, emails are left unanswered. The only saving grace is that I see the doctors knocking around the local area but don't think asking for an asthma review in the veg isle at morrisons is at all appropriate. I'll be switching GP's, I would recommend any existing patient to do the same and anyone thinking of registering at the practice to not bother. Hell, call me an register with me, I'll be as much use as they are - at least I will answer my phone.

Avoid registering at this surgery. The surgery will interfere with medication and put you at risk as a result of poor management and a badly trained team. Appointments with an actual qualified GP are like gold dust most of the time you'll just be stuck seeing a nurse. If they can't fob you off on to a nurse you'll be sent to their Shipley site where if you do get an appointment they'll unregister you from Haigh Hall and then register you as a patient at Shipley Medical Practice without your consent.

I have become quite despondent with Haige Hall since they have Merged with Shipley & Westcliffe Surgeries. It can now take up to two hours to get through on the phone as they are either engaged, or the call is ignored although there are at least 3 admin staff on site. They no longer have a Nurse practitioner on site therefore you have to make an 8 mile round trip to one of the Shipley Surgeries. When asked how was I supposed to get there I was told to get a taxi.!! As a life long patient of Haige Hall I have never had any complaints 're staff or GPS in till now although I am very aware of the effects Covid has had on how services are now run there is no excuse what so ever to expect patients to trail so far. My concern is for the elderly who will give up trying to get through to the surgery, or are not able to travel so far to see a nurse. Covid appears to have become a good excuse which is not acceptable.
