This GP is constantly running late on booked appointments. I had to wait over an hour and 40min for a general appointment; they had booked me in for an appointment but cancelled without notifying me so i took time off work to turn up for an appointment that was no longer in place. They had to book me in for another appointment which was also running late. I made a complaint to the manager but there really isnt much they can do. I am currently waiting for a blood test which is running 30min behind. I dont think i have ever been for an appointment that actually ran on time.

Impossible to get an appointment when you need one. Was told to phone first thing at 8am only for the automated service to repeatedly say they are too busy to service my call. I feel they should tell people looking to join that they're not normally able to give you an appointment or even answer the phone for that matter.

I registered at meanwood group practice, and would like to start by saying that the receptionists do their very best - please talk to them with a bit of respect, and if they can find you an appointment they will. That being said, it makes me sad to see the state this country is in; I asked for guidance over my mental health concerns and have had to do my own research, the doctor advised me not to up my dose, to then tell me a few moments later I should. I have also had to chase up appointments myself. Having not heard back from an assessment for weeks, and being told I would receive my contraception in November, but then being told January. This wait is not the fault of this practice, but their communication is awful as you are left in the dark while you try to work out yourself how to best manage your health concerns.

I’m ready to go to the newspaper’s and complain against this doctor service. My son has been going the doctor doing blood tests giving stool samples, all sorts to find out why he’s having extreme pain and other symptoms concerning his intestines. First they said the stool sample wasn’t enough, then he had to repeat it, each time it takes a week to redo it. On top of my son telling the doctor he was constipated. He managed another stool sample, he actually found a worm in the sample and placed it with the stool inside the sample container. We waited another week, we called to ask for results, the receptionist I was shocked to say said oh, I can give you the results over the phone if u like. Which she then blurted out Yeah it was normal, nothing wrong. My son said that’s impossible!!! Please I need someone professional to speak to. We eventually got a professional person on the phone. Who merely said, you could always do another sample but everything seems normal. How on earth is that possible? Normal? A bloody big worm? In his stool? Someone is not doing his job. Btw my poor son is still suffering hardly eating and lost loads of weight due to this. 😔

My son had his nose cauterised today. He has additional needs and is terrified of being touched by doctors. The doctor that saw to him was okay however his female assistant was bloody rude. Kept telling my terrified son with asd that if he doesn't go through with the procedure "your mum will be really cross with you" I find emotionally blackmailing a scared child to be pretty low behaviour. I didn't appreciate it at all and do not believe this woman should be dealing with asd children. Gentle encouragement works wonders...
