I’m so glad we chose Scammel, the quality of the kitchen, the design service and the fitting have all been exceptional. I can’t recommend them highly enough. And it’s nice to use a local business rather than a big national that has a huge marketing budget to pay for.

An excellent service so far from the designing of our new kitchen space through to the assistance given to our builder. We were surprised that we were able to even afford one of their quality Shaker kitchens. Once we had been to the high street brands realised there isn’t much in the cost and compared the level of customer care we would receive there was no question on who we feel confident spending with to provide the perfect kitchen. Sharon has been on hand to help make those important decisions for lighting and flooring. We can’t wait for our new kitchen to arrive!

Kitchen/Utility Renovation After the first visit to see Steve & Sharon at their beautiful showroom in York we knew they were the right fit for our project. Steve came to our house and measured the space and discussed ideas with us, Sharon then worked her magic on the design. No stone is left unturned in the design process. We had countless meetings at the shop, numerous phone conversations & emails to ensure your dream turns into reality. Scammell’s are a credit to their industry, with a wealth of experience, knowledge & professionalism, and trust me,they are not happy until you are happy. Jo in the office creates a detailed works schedule, keeps you informed and even checks your items off the delivery wagon at your house. Duncan the fitter was a pleasure to have in the house, he is a true craftsman, very knowledgeable, polite & friendly.(Our dog Teddy looked forward to his fuss when he arrived) To deliver a such a quality product during this difficult pandemic it a testament to their commitment to your project. Very informative and helpful visit

I'm very happy with the kitchen that the Scammell team fitted for me. It has really made the most of the space and is very high quality. I'm sure it will last for years and years. Probably not the cheapest kitchen I could have had - but you do get what you pay for and its worth every penny!

From the initial consultation to the after care, Scammel Interiors have been a superb company to deal with all the way. Sharon Scammel took charge of the design and happily tweaked it according to our requirements and made recommendations. Steve oversaw the technical aspects and made several onsite visits. I don't know how they did it, but to manage a new kitchen project like they did during Covid-19 with all the supply and labour challenges, is actually phenomenal, well done to them. Our kitchen is gorgeous and we have had plenty of compliments, a mention needs to go to Phil the cabinet fitter and Anthony who meticulously hand painted our cupboards. The team at Scammell have been a godsend in these strange times. The lockdown started just after our kitchen had been completely torn out and we were left with an empty room with no cooking or clothes washing facilities. Jo, Sharon and Steve made sure that we were sorted with a makeshift kitchen and some semblance of normality, saving our nerves and sanity! Steve even donated some of his own chipboard when it was impossible to get, just so that we would have worktops. The kitchen design is amazing and we love this half kitchen more than our complete old one. Can't recommend them enough and looking forward to seeing our finished design! Very grateful!
