I think this is more a public rest place, where you can sit and use electricity for free rather than a library .. on the first floor we have just a few sections with some stupid books in them and on the second floor we have empty shelves and science section with some philosophy, maths and language books. What for a library is this?! At least, if you're looking for a quiet place - it's nice, there are also computers inside available to use

I can't believe how much this library has declined...both in it's content and the service it provides for the peogle that visit. The staff sit around and have converations that are loud enough for everyone to hear...for as long as I can remember,a library has always been one place youre supposed to be quiet in! The staff are so unhelpful too! I've been coming to this library since I was aroundoing 5 years old and I've never been so disappointed! Get some people in who actually care!!

A really beautiful library inside and out - this is a classic Carnegie library. It's really easy to find, being on Upper Parliament Street - opposite the Anglican Cathedral and on the edge of Toxteth and Canning. As the other review says, there is a much bigger selection of books at Central but you can order books here and return books from other libraries here too. The children's selection is excellent and there is a good range of Chinese language books. There is also a bank of computers you can use for free. Very helpful staff.

Really nice library, the lady helped me sign up for a library card and showed me how to use the computers and printer nicely. Printing is cheap and easy to use, will be visiting often for sure.
