In response to the shops comment on a previous review:

I was not at the original appointment ,which was my friend Sue and her friend who was the mother of the bride. So, it was my first visit to your shop. I arrived, as I always do, with an open mind, although I was aware of the previous circumstances.
I find your response, which in my opinion with the level of complaint should have been dealt with immediately, it is simply not good enough not to not do so, and your reply is seriously inadequate.
Regardless of the rights of a retailer which I, in my profession, am probably more familiar than you are, you have dealt with this complaint badly. I suggest, in addition to your wall mounted policy document, which frankly you need binoculars to see, you have a small notice on your desk to the effect of No Cash Refunds. Also, it is of no relevance how many assistants served us on that day, I would imagine one should have managed, it was extremely intimidating. In my opinion you should have a short cash return policy. Having been a mother of the bride myself, it can be a stressful and highly vulnerable time as a major female figure, women can feel unconfident (Again this is a point you should be aware and sympathetic with) and to be unable to take something home and try once again would certainly make me cautious of buying from you.
As regards your service I live in Edinburgh and shop on the high street, independent shops and designer shops. I have never encountered such a rude and unfriendly assistant, it is very rare that I have left a shop feeling so angry. It was not a pleasant shopping experience, and I know that my friend had no desire to use your shop again had she not been in possession of a credit note. I also very much doubt judging by what I saw that the customer was offered the opportunity of ordering a dress in a different colour or any of your other excuses. I suggest that you need to seriously look at staff training and policies and, with the utmost respect, I would suggest you need to spend more time in your shops yourself before you lose more customers.
