A lovely calming area so close to the city center. Situated in an old quarry next to the Anglican Cathedral. Most of the gravestones have been moved to the side to make it more like a subterranean park with a spring and pool in the center. Lots of interesting gravestones are still present and you can travel back in time reading about the lives and death of people who travelled from all over the world to the Victorian city of Liverpool.

Nice place to relax, lots of history here from centuries past. Originally a quarry whereby the stone was mined and used in the foundations of older established buildings in Liverpool.

Beautiful place and such a stunning and very imposing building. The gardens are extremely well and cured and it's such a beautiful place to visit. If you head back down the hill you'll shortly find yourself in Chinatown which offers an authentic feel when walking down the streets.

This is a stunning place. Both inside and out. The cemetery doesn't actually belong to Cathedral although it does run right along side it. There is always something on at St James Mount whether it's a walk within the Cathedral or a Ghost walk of the cemetery it's definitely worth a look at.
