Great site in a lovely location. Really friendly and helpful wardens. Ideally situated to explore the Wirral. Easy access to the Wirral Way, 12 miles of bridleway for cycling and walking. I'd give 5 stars but unfortunately the site is a tad tired now and prone to getting waterlogged in wet weather. The wardens do their very best and facilities are kept at the usual excellent C&MHC standards. Some investment and it would be excellent.

5/ 5

Relatively small and tidy site with level pitches overlooking the Dee estuary, situated on the edge of the cliffs and next to the Wirral Country Park. It can be exposed to wind and weather off the Irish Sea, so come prepared!! Cheerful and efficient wardens keep it spotlessly clean, and the Wirral Way walks directly from the site are well maintained. We loved it.

Lovely location, reasonable facility's and helpful staff. The fees however aren't justified. In Sept 19, over £36 for one night. "£15.60 booking charges, non member charge £12, and £8.60 pitch charges". Assume this is the hook up charge which is extortionate. I also find £12 for non members very steep.

Fantastic place to go for a day sunny day our or a wet day out. There is a walk along the old railway tracks with lots of nature to see. There is a beautiful sandy stoney beach, should you choose to go down to the beach the safe entrance is at the bottom of station road. The cafe, Flissys cafe, is a fantastic place to take your dog for some good light bite food. On a nice day the fields at the top are the perfect place to get the family together for a BBQ/picnic and some outdoor games, cricket, kite flying, garden jenga, catch. There is a visitors centre with lots of interesting info about the area and just outside of visitors centre is a small bike hire, bike fix shop. There is a very substantial car park that even on a hot busy day has plenty of spaces and it's £2 for the day and £50 for a year pass.

Decent site. Needs fully serviced pitches installing. Just too many scousers here. Noted some child abuse with kids wearing Liverpool kits and no-one contacted the police or social services.

We had a lovely Relaxing stay at Wirral Country Park. Very clean shower block & Bin area. And a very well presented floral and grassed areas. The fish & chip van was a glorious addition to our stay. Easy walks down the wooded lanes to the beach. We will be back again.

We arrived early but were met with a gruff response from one of the wardens. We eventually got set up on our pitch and were very happy. The views were amazing. The lady warden was very friendly and helpful. So much to do in the area we have booked a return trip.

5/ 5

Beautiful place to visit. Plenty of parking. You can walk, cycle or ride your horse around the country park. It has two fantastic places to eat, drink and refresh yourselves, dog friendly and has ice cream for dogs. Ponds with ducks, bbq areas to have parties and outstanding views of the beach and sea. Plenty of places to sit and have your lovely picnic xxx The beach is accessible down a winding path and steep steps, or walk to the sailing club where you can walk down to the beach via boat launch road which has no steps. Nearby is also the TCOA where you are made welcome to join the club and have drinks at the bar and watch the bands that perform for local charities. Next door is the Wirral Touring Caravan Site. A short walk up the road is also the new Strawberry Moon which serves meals and drinks, inside and outside seating and acts on at the weekend.
