If you have any problem all you need to do just call them on the mobile you will get through But first you are going to get 5 options then you are going to be put on hold The other day I called the YHG for a repair then they just give me one answer All I do is you will have to go and repair it yourself Mainly there is just one only answer. they only want to go ahead and save money Then later on any ideas that YHG have it is a waste of time and effort Go and choose a different housing group this could be better off

I've only given one star as I had to, it would've been none if the option was available! I'm currently as of today facing a 3rd week without any heating or hot water facilities in my property due to my boiler being condemned! A boiler which has had countless call outs and repairs over the years and has now give up as rain water gets through the roof, down the flu pipe and into the unit, a repair that also should have been carried some time ago which never happened! The work was originally planned to be carried out on Monday 24th June, the boiler was condemned on Saturday 8th (Today is the 21st) and we were told this week that a sub-contractor may be able to come to the property earlier but we would receive contact in advance to confirm, which nobody did! So whilst at work yesterday I recieved a text to say a contractor had tried to gain access to my property but nobody was available for contact! Along with this I have a hole in my kitchen ceiling from the leak above the boiler, a ceiling that has been re-plastered on two occasions already due to leaks in the bathroom and I have had to re-decorate the whole kitchen and bathroom in the last few months because of this all at my own expense... apparently we need to claim on our insurance for this, which had I done on each occasion my premiums would be extortionate! I have a list of outstanding repairs that numerous workmen have come to look at but have never repaired, four windows that seals have gone on and are misty and windows and doors that are drafty and inadequate! I've paid for numerous repairs and upgrades out of my own money to keep the property liveable including a renovation from a 2Bed to a three, which took me 18mths just to get a verbal agreement to do so! I have two children, one of whom is autistic and suffers with chronic eczema and requires regular baths in emollient for her skin who now has to go to a neighbour's house to do so. 14yrs I have paid rent on this property and the one time we had to make a late payment of rent, which was actually only half the amount due to us being in credit by paying extra each month they sent us a possession order after only two weeks in around £250 of arrears! Absolute jokers! I'm also none the wiser now as to when my boiler will be replaced as when trying to contact thier office it's currently closed.... on a Friday morning at 10:30 for training!? Which they clearly need! Manchester & District Housing were our previous HA who were fantastic and had a local caretaker who would willingly come round out of hours to help with just a knock on his door.... these wasters might be one of the largest HA's in the UK that they proudly boast on their home page but will almost certainly be one of the worst!! Avoid unless you are absolutely desperate for accommodation!!!! And even then consider a wendy house as it would probably have better facilities.... I wonder if anyone at Your Housing will see this... maybe but either way they wouldn't reply as they never do!

If you are lucky enough to get through on the phone they are very polite but the companies they outsource to are completely useless! They NEVER call back! EVER! My issue is a health and safety issue so I will report them to the council. It's been an on going issue for 4 years! Still nothing done.

Terrible landlords. Been a tenant for 5 and a half years and have had major repairs to most of the house. Had to get solicitors involved last year to get the damp sorted (4 different colours of mould on my daughter's bedroom wall which they kept claiming was condensation and advised us to open a window). I have now had a leak on the boiler, which has come through the kitchen ceiling, for nearly a month. I had a huge hole cut in the ceiling over a week ago so the leak can be fixed and am now being told (by the subcontrator) that the whole ceiling needs to come down before it can be repaired?????? I have emailed numerous times and all I get told is 'an enquiry has been logged, someone will contact you in the next 24hrs'. The only contact I've had is to replace the light fitting which can't be done until the leak is fixed. The lack of information and communication is deplorable and the consideration they have for their tenants is zero.
