Yorkshire Museum of Farming york

Went for the first time with my toddler and she loved it. What a great place, loads for the kid to do and the play area is great. Once you have paid you can go all year and the price is very reasonable, we are looking forward to going again

Took grandchildren here to see santa had a fabulous time guided by elf bauble around the elves village it's like an outside pantomime then on a train ride where the kids meet santa worth every penny highly recommend

The Christmas event is so fantastic and magical for my young ones

I had a wonderful experience with my husband and friends at the museum. I am interested in finding stories about The Womans Land Army, the staff were all amazing, helping in any way they could, even allowing me to look at their archive. There were school parties in obviously having a great time. A wonderful place with great people.

What a magical place at Christmas time! A very warm welcome with free sherry and mince pies lots of stalls and fair ground rides with a wonderful christmassy feel! Birds of prey and christmas crafts followed by a very entertaining tour by Bauble the elf and his team of mischievous and very funny elves around Santas village! Then on to Santas trainride where the kids all got a present from the man himself! A very well organised and very entertaining day by people who clearly love what they do, we well definitely be returning. A massive thank you to all involved, keep up the good work!

The Yorkshire Museum of Farming is a wonderful day out that will keep you popping back for more! There's a history of local farming practices, animals to see as well as a reconstructed Viking village, Medieval House and Roman Fort! Perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors and interactive history. Frequently occupied by Vikings, Cowboys, WW2 and Knights at reenactment events at the weekends, its a brilliant place to visit. Highly recommended 👌

This park is really cool! We absolutely loved the Viking town and the volunteers doing the reenactments were great and really informative. There's a lot to do, we didn't get to the Roman fort and weren't able to get on the cute train because of how many others were also trying, but we still had fun. Not having food available was the only drawback. We don't have a car so it was quite tricky navigating the way there and back but it's a lovely and very unique park. It's definitely worth a few visits!

Interesting place. Seems to be unsure of want it wants to be and a bit gappy. But engaging day with the railway, agricultural displays. Will go back again. Nice staff.

The museum was great apart from two of the three sections being closed to the public due to school groups being in which we weren't told when we booked the tickets. Luckily, we were able to visit one of the sections after the group had left but £11 a ticket would have been a lot of money to look at some sheds in the Roman section had we been earlier in the day. Once we were allowed in, the Viking section was absolutely fantastic and actually well worth it! It would have been nice to have a cuppa whilst there but they did say that the cafe was being refurbished and would be open soon so I look forward to trying this out next time.

Disappointing. Place was deserted: the living museum wasn't living!, Tudor/Viking/Roman villages were empty shells, cafe wasn't open, playground was too small for the amount of children there, railway was closed. The only other people we saw were in the playground. Didn't feel we got value for money at £35 for a family ticket even if it was an annual pass as unlikely to return. Maybe we just went on an off day as the website promised much more?!
