Good library with helpful, knowledgeable staff.

been past this really lovely building a number of times when me and my wife have visited York think I should really take a look on the inside . hope it's not long till were back I bet the inside of this building is as beautiful as the outside.

The cafe is a great place to stop off and have a bite or drink, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The archive has interesting information on places to explore in Yorkshire

Great place, nice staff and good cafe in the library. Great place for children to play and have all variety of kids books for all levels.

Quite superb. The staff could not be more helpful and extremely knowledgeable .The history section is an oasis of comfort to study.

The best library ever! Great selection of books, and you can have books from other libraries in the system delivered to your local branch (for a small reservation fee of 25p). Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff, who always make you feel welcome.

It's central and it's open even more than it was in the before time's. Hot food and drink if you want it although why would you it's a library for christsakes. Thank goodness it exists.

Lovely little cafe, wher you can read n a baby n toddler unit as well!
