It is a very nice hostel, but even though it is situated in an old turn of the century house, it feels oddly empty (like most YHA hostels). Nothing of the old charm remains: it is practical and clean inside and that's that. Rooms are good, clean and have comfy beds. Do keep on mind that it is a 25 minute uphill walk from the city center!

Fantastic all around place to stay in a nice natural setting, helpful staff, clean, spacious, good facilities especially the drying room and bathrooms. Would be perfect five stars if the "self catering kitchen" actually had stovetop cookers and if the building had a lift for luggage. Would definitely go back to stay if in Bath. Thanks for a great stay.

It's good hostel for a night stay. I must say very compact for 5 people occupancy. Washroom was clean. No towels, no shampoo, no body wash provided. Bed was very comfortable, we had a peaceful sleep (until one of us started snoring 🙄😅). Good option for a night stay.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and some of the facilities better these days than when I first stayed at the hostel back in the early 1990s. However, that said there's still room for improvement. No pots and pans or an oven with proper hobs on it. The low level lighting in the kitchen is not very user friendly either. I have seen better cooking facilities at other Youth Hostels in England so why can't Bath Youth hostel follow by example? Good place to stay for the individual traveller/backpacker or if spending a couple of days in Bath with a group of friends.

A beautiful space to use as a base to see Bath. Staff friendly as always, with good local knowledge.

I was very happy with my stay - rooms were relatively clean and there was a lovely view from the hostel. Everything was close by and food at the hostel was also nice. One thing that stood out was how far the staff and cleaners went when I forgot something there. Thanks so much.
