We left an appointment being told he had it all in hand. “Leave it with me” Enquiries would be made, he could talk to a colleague at the RUH and the practice would get back to us. This was concerning treatment for a 17 yr old boy. They failed to make any further communication. Absolutely nothing. After 8 weeks I called them to let them know how disappointing and unprofessional their service had been and nothing was even pending!! The receptionist apologised but nothing more.

At my first consultation I was impressed by Paul Vivian. I'd asked, in particular, about veneers, and he gave me a price for four on my upper front teeth. I went home to consider it and check my bank account, and 8 weeks later called to say I'd like to go ahead, and confirmed the quoted price with the receptionist. You can only imagine my dismay and disappointment when Paul said the veneers he'd fitted in the past weren't particularly good so, since we'd met, he'd been on a course and changed his methods. He then explained that the price had virtually doubled to nearly £4,000: almost £1000 per veneer! This was more expensive than any other dentist I'd seen, and unaffordable. Moreover, I found the situation highly embarrassing, and considered it disingenuous of the practice not to have advised me of the higher price when I made my second appointment. I left as soon as I could, and wouldn't recommend the Widcombe Dental practice to anyone - unless paying double the cost of the original quote isn't a problem two months later.

I had been considering having Botox for sometime as I knew it would help with softening crows feet around my eye area. I like to look natural and was concerned that people would notice that I had the procedure done. Taking the plunge and not looking back, everyone keeps telling me how well I look but nobody has mentioned the B word, a few people have also taken the plunge after being impressed with my new younger, relaxed look. Paul is a true professional he takes photos and discusses in detail how you would like to look and always likes to see you two weeks later to make sure you are happy with your results.

Since joining the practice 9 months ago, I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Paul and the team. As someone who is extremely anxious about going to the dentist, Paul has guided me every step of the way through what has been quite extensive treatment and made me feel completely at ease. I have complete confidence in his work - it’s unlike any other dentistry I’ve had before and I’m really grateful to have found such a great dentist and dental practice. I have nothing but praise for this dental practice. The whole team offer a professional, friendly and completely pain free dental service. The treatments advocated and the equipment used appear modern and appropriate. Everything is explained in depth but also the dentists and dental nurses are good listeners as well. I am a new patient but am delighted to have joined this dental practice.

Came to Paul’s practice after not seeing a dentist in over 2 years. Fair to say my teeth weren’t in the best of shapes. Over the course of a few months Paul and his team tidied my smile up by providing me with a few overdue fillings as well as some well needed hygienists treatment. I then moved on to getting my teeth whitened and I’m really happy with the results. I only suffered from a tiny bit of sensitivity towards the end of the treatment but that is to be expected. Apart from that, it was a simple as can be. Paul and his team have transformed my overall dental health, and the confidence I have in my smile. Would highly recommend!
