Its a local hardware store which I'll be returning to. In my experience Customer service here is lacking, shop floor people seem to avoid client contact and most don't know how to advise clients, so product training would be beneficial. Free parking is good.

It's a Wickes, so you probably know the format. If you have been to this branch in the past, you will be pleased to know that it has improved massively since about Easter '19. Things are more or less in the right place with the right prices on now.

A typical buildings / DIY supplier. Relatively cheap prices on a wide range of stock. A bit wary of their customer service after I was sold a toilet seat there that was obviously a return that they put back into stock and would not refund me though parts were missing. My use of the shop since has been much more limited, but overall nothing has gone wrong since.

Pretty disappointing. 11 of the item I was looking for in stock as per website and staff. But 0 actually there. Stock is clearly not updated more than monthly. Half the store empty also. Seems like they have a good selection of timber tho. Staff was nice

Extremely poor service. Was looking for an item that was stated as 7 in stock online for click and collect and when I arrived at the store, it was nowhere to be found. Looked for a member of staff to help me and the 3 grouped together having their own conversation weren't very forthcoming. I eventually went to the click and collect desk only to be told there wasn't any stock. I asked if he could phone the Hayes store to find out if they had, to which he replied, I can find their number online and do it myself. He did mention that the store was closing down but is this really an excuse for 1, poor customer service and 2, insufficient stock in store even though the online system states there are 7. I can understand a discrepancy of 1 or 2 but 7? I managed to call the Hayes store and the gentleman that helped me over the phone was very helpful and yet again, 3 in stock online and none in the store. Tried contacting Hanger Lane and no one even bothered to answer the phone even after numerous attempts. Really poor services. I ended up going to Homebase to source the item instead. Should've done that from the beginning. Item in question is 500104, if anyone is interested in investigating this.
