best place to buy stationary, all though expensive, the sheer quality makes up for the price! staff are friendly IF YOU FIND THEM! there is usually no one around store for assistance, they are either at the back in the storage section or at the cashier (pet hate) it would be cool if there was a system to check the book stock availability on a device in the store, not waiting for the staff to use that old computer at the back

I always find the store cluttered and things just placed on top of other things, they had different offers on with the Easter eggs but it wasn't labelled properly as to which eggs were in which offer... The books are always dirty because the shelves are dirty... Not good standards

I really like WHSmith, even if you do need a second mortgage to shop there! This store is incredibly well stocked, selling everything from gift wrap, to snacks, to ink cartridges, to text books. It is a little hefty on the price front but saying that, excellence comes at a price!

To go to the till and pay for your goods you have to walk through about 15 metres worth of confectionery. Every packet of sweets and chocolates you can think of is all there at child height. I think this is appalling from such a well established high street name. If this is the only way they can make a profit just close the thing down. My child and I will be buying our books elsewhere and wont be returning.

Helpful employees and lots of stock. Not the greatest layout and quite a challenge with a pushchair. A vast variety of books, newspapers and magazines. Plus a plentiful stock of treats. Both members of staff who interacted with me were top notch.
