Second visit here and it's much improved, gone are the tired mannequins and plotting table. It's now much closer to how it would have been in 1943. The staff are super enthusiastic about the place and it's history ( Olivia is a mine of information and enthusiasm). Well done all a great place to visit !

5/ 5

This is a must for anyone visiting Liverpool, the price is reasonable and the staff are only too happy to answer any questions you may have. It is hard to believe that 300 people, mostly women; worked here in complete secrecy during the last war and without doubt, altered the outcome of the war. Its importance cannot be overstated and when you walk around the place you feel that you are being taken back to those times.

5/ 5

Former top secret facility used during World War 2 to coordinate the efforts of the Royal Navy and Royal Air force in protecting and escorting the trans Atlantic convoys from North America. This underground command centre is located beneath a fairly anonymous office building, but could be considered as one of the most influential locations of the 20th century, as the convoys were vital for the continued efforts of the British war effort and the feeding of her population. Well worth a visit for anyone interested in WW2 and history in general!

My intention on a shirt visit Liverpool was to visit this place, I was and still am enthusiastic about it. If you are interested in the battle of the Atlantic during the second world was this place is a must see. Excellent exhibits, the wall mapping and original artifacts including original letters and documents make fascinating reading. Also the ticket lasts 12 months we could return a second time for free and probably will.

Unusual and interesting museum that presented an interesting look at the working environment during the second world war. Nicely presented - with a mixture of film, signage, audio etc. as well as the re-created room settings which allowed you to get a good look and feel of how the place would have looked when in use. Staff were friendly and helpful at the entrance.

We were recommended to visit this exhibition when we were in Liverpool. The tickets were a bit pricey but I don't think they have any other funding. Very interesting with all the paraphernalia needed to oversee the Atlantic convoys.
