The food was good, but we're a little disappointed with the actual restaurant. Very small and felt (and smelt) like an old grandparents home! We were surprised to have booked a table on a Tapas only day (this was not mentioned on the website, or maybe we missed it). Although the portions were very small, the food was well cooked and we did enjoy ourselves.

Another excellent meal at Weir Grove. Surprisingly the place was very quiet for a Friday night but it didn't bother us in the slightest. Well worth a visit for fine dining with some background classical music which creates a relaxing eating experience.

5/ 5

Situated in the village of Wargrave the Weir Grove’s proprietor Karl is originally from Sweden. The restaurant is contemporary and tastefully decorated with a very pleasant ambience. Service is professional and attentive. The menu includes specials of the day. This evenings was blue tuna. Check out the photos of the venison dish and the chicken dish as well. Servings were generous and the food was excellent. The kitchen was spotless and you can take a peek through the glass window in the door! All food freshly cooked and much of it sourced locally. Verdict: Would I return again? Definitely. And well worth the visit. Be sure to ring and reserve to avoid disappointment.
