Waterstones (Leeds) is one of the last great bookshops and has evolved with changing times, providing a good mix of games, books and related paraphernalia. It has a dedicated children's bookshop retreat on the first floor with areas for small children through to teens. This is within easy reach of the cafe on the same floor which serves great coffee and with the option to browse-before-you-buy books whilst in the cafe, makes for a fabulous retreat from the busy streets of Leeds at any time of day for all ages.

The first time I ever stepped inside, I was blown away by the sheer size of it. Spread over 3 floors, with a coffee shop on the middle, it has something for everyone. I must have easily spent over an hour in there on my first visit. Now I go back quite often.

This is such a chilled out book store, it's brilliant! I was looking for a good Italian grammar book, which I found easily but could quite easily have found much more. The range of both fiction and non fiction is amazing, and they're more than happy for you to take a book and read it for a while before choosing a purchase!

5/ 5

If you like books, then Waterstones is the place to go. They have an incredible selection of books spanning most genres. Worthwhile taking your time and having a good browse. I docked a star because I recognise you can often buy books cheaper online. Then I added it back because they have a great cafe. But there's a tension because I think it's important to support High Street shops.
