I hate the pretentious shop! It's extremely expensive.. I don't even think their ranges are very extensive.. They do seem to struggle keeping their shelves fully stocked!.. I buy basic items here but only when it's convenient to do so .. Doing this in most supermarkets you'd be getting good deals.. Not here though.. you can add 20 - 30% to the cost of a tin of Heinz Baked Beans.. Just about everything, is shipped if from around the world by jet planes .. You may be happy with that? I'm not! .. Just go to Aldi of Lidl .. it's a far more interesting shopping trip.. Nice quality, "Local" fresh vegetables too! Do you remember that ancient tree which stood on the corner of thier plot? (3-4 years ago) They chopped it down! Go look at it's replacement! .. Well that's who Waitrose really are!

The older lady with the asymetric bob who works at the customer service counter requires to be trained in how to treat customers respectfully! When I pointed out how rude she was being towards me, instead of apologising, she informed me she was a "partner" at Waitrose, as though this entitled her to be verbally abusive towards customers!! I`ve shopped at Waitrose in Morningside for years where all the staff have always been extremley helpful and polite. I was therefore appalled to be treated with such disrespect by a member of staff who works at the customer service counter at the Waitrose in Stockbridge.

Typical Waitrose store... bigger than some with a good choice of goods. Accessible multistory carparking free for 2 hours. Public toilet but no cafe/ coffee machines. Clean and felt safe with everyone still wearing masks and markings of 2m still on the floor.

Awful store. I’ve gone from spending £150 a week here to £10 a fortnight. Staff service has plummeted over the last two years. The store is dirty and has a horrible stairway where the ceilings are so low I can hit my head on the fixtures. The fish counter regularly sells fresh Tuna that is turning black or grey. Product variety has got worse over time. Discounts on expiring items are a joke. Taking 20p off an expensive piece of meat that is expiring that same day? Waitrose on the whole is in decline, just like JL, but this store is particularly unpleasant. I only visit if I really have to.
