Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and professional. We had booked a standard room but on arrival, the staff upgraded us to a deluxe room. View from the room wa a fabulous view of Cardiff bay and there's plenty of things to do during a short stay. Breakfast was also lovely but I thought the plates should have been warm to avoid food going cold

This hotel is advertised as 5*. It is not a 5*. 4* at a push. No free or discounted parking available. From the outside the hotel looks poor, dire and tired. Windows are filthy and covered in bird droppings. It needs to good clean and fresh paint. From the inside, it is nice, clean and appealing. Rooms are spacious but again, a little outdated and definitely not 5* standard. Good views from the balcony if your room has a balcony. Hotel gym is limited and again, some equipment is tired and requires maintenance such as a back machine which is rusty and sticks. Hotel/gym staff were informed of the same. Good breakfast and good selection. The hotel appear to have limited staff to cope with demand. Communication was a issue at times. Also guests not allowed to get hot drinks themselves but allowed to get other items, and staff were rude at times. All in all a very average hotel and not one I would choose to return. MM.

Simply superb! I and my wife visit Cardiff (were supposed to be in Portugal, but oh well!) and stayed at this beautiful hotel by Cardiff Bay. We were checked by Madi, who was super friendly and the checking process was quick (and safe!). We stayed in a beautiful room in the fourth floor (406), with the balcony overlooking the Bay! Wow, what a view and a really good quality room and amenities. We didn't dine in the restaurant but had our breakfast and it was good. The team, led by Mark Gallagher (General Manager), we're just brilliant - each one of them! Will surely stay here when we are in Cardiff again. Cheers
