Attended a wedding, service, reception and evening. Service and food excellent. Staff so customer focused. Stayed overnight, room was clean and tidy. Breakfast in the morning was more than ample. An excellent experience and there were more facilities, gym, swimming pool that looked great, though did not use these. Would recommend highly.

Visited Nottingham to look at universities with my 18 year old son. This hotel was a good compromise for us both. Cleanliness was ok. Rooms were dark but modern and reasonably spacious. Ours was tucked away on one end so quiet apart from other guests returning to their rooms well after midnight. Rooms were not cleaned or towels changed despite staying three nights. We had to use our room towels for the pool and ask for new ones from the spa. Pool was very nice as was steam room. Restaurant could not do either of my first choices off the menu but it was adequate. Breakfast was good. All staff we encountered during our stay were very pleasant. All in all good value for money.

This served well as a stopping point for family visits. A warm welcome by helpful staff member. A clean room with tea making and ironing facilities. A comfortable bed with two pillows. Clean bathroom with shower and bath. We got a special the night deal at less than£60 per night, including a more than acceptable breakfast with a range of hot and cold food options. Car parking was included in the deal and there were adequate spaces.

Stayed from a Friday to Monday recently. Got a great deal with the app they advertise. The place itself is looking a little tired, however the staff were Rey, very accommodating and helpful. The room was fine, if again needing a spruce up in the bathroom. Gym facilities were basic but fine (wish it was a little lower in temp), and the bar/restaurant functional in a sports bar type way. Breakfast was great. We are in the restaurant twice as we had vouchers as part of the deal and it was fine. Menu limited in choice but decent quality of food. Only niggle was the app to order food which was buggy and meant it delayed getting quick drinks etc (very frustrating) - staff said this happened often so get that sorted please Mr Village! Overall a good location and we’d look forward to returning. A big Thanks to all of the staff there.

Lovely hotel. We booked for a family in one room and we were happy to see two extra floor beds added to our double that were as comfortable as the actual beds. There's a member of staff in the pub and grill that made our experience 100× better by taking special care of us being attentive and lovely. The app wasn't working at the time we wanted to eat but she ensured our order was taken and that we could have dinner in a timely manner which was important. The food was amazing and the service was great in the pub and grill. Room was clean and brilliant for our needs.Sadly we were let down by bad advice from the gentleman who assisted us checking in which is why I cannot give 5 stars. We were offered leisure passes for our second day which we paid more for and then we opted for late check out so we could spend some time in the gym and pool, with the possibility of a spa treatment. Unfortunately when we asked if we needed to book use of the gym/pool ( we knew we needed to book a treatment) we were told we didn't and could just use the facilities as we liked. This was incorrect meaning that when we went to the pool with the kids all ready to swim we were turned away because there was no advance booking. Very frustrating and ended our trip hours earlier than expected. We would return but I do think one of the USP's for village hotels is the leisure centre so it's a little disappointing that staff were not on the same page about the booking process. If we'd have come a day later apparently it wouldn't have been a problem but that doesn't help two little ones who have been promised a swim being turned away. This was especially difficult as I had a business meeting that I had to be around for and we could have arranged our day entirely differently.
