Stayed last evening with my Aunt in a twin room. We are regular Village Hotel guests over the country. This was our first visit to Bury. Check in was good and our room was clean tidy. We headed to the swimming pool which is a good size. The jets weren't working well in the jacuzzi I called to see if I could reserve a table in the grill but was told I didn't need to and to go down when we wanted. We.ordered drinks and food at the same.time. unfortunately there was a long wait on our food. I don't mind if warned in advance by staff of delays but on this occasion nothing was said. When the food arrived it was very nice!

Check in was easy and very straightforward, within minutes we had our keycards and were heading to our room . We had booked the club room and it didn't disappoint, a nice spacious room with an enormous bed, wall mounted TV, desk, chair and additional lounging style chair and foot stall. A kettle with plenty of supplies to make tea or coffee and even an iron and ironing board. The bathroom was lovely with spacious rainfall shower. We got ready and headed down for drinks, we were greeted by a lovely girl I later discovered to be Grace, we managed to get a table outside and enjoyed the great weather. Throughout the evening Grace was so pleasant, friendly and attentive. We ordered food and enjoyed that too. A great overnight stay, enhanced by good service.

5/ 5

The hotel was extremely clean and efficient processes were put in place to ensure minimum contact due to covid. The rooms were spotless and the beds were so comfortable, it made it nice to be away from home. The best thing about this hotel was the service. Every single person I spoke to went above and beyond in order to make the stay enjoyable. My TV wasn't tuned in correctly when I arrived so I went to reception to advise. They sent someone up to take a look and as they couldn't fix it, I was moved with no fuss. I particularly have to praise Jay, who worked on reception when I arrived, for his excellent level of customer service. He honoured any request with speed, made me feel welcome from the onset, and his whole happy demeanor was a pleasure to see. Excellent customer services skills. Thank you.
