A place that is away yet not too far from the city and close to nature. The hotel room is decent. Breakfast is good! We enjoyed the beef soup noodle and fish porridge. Didn’t take a picture of the fish porridge though.

We had such an amazing experience here - love that it is away from the buzz. A really wonderful place to spend some romantic time with your special one. It feels like we are out of Singapore. Love the inclusivity and great service; the staffs here made us feel like part of the big family. I would highly recommend this hotel for all couples to experience a quality and romantic getaway. It is easily a 5-star for us :) Kudos to Villa Samadhi for the awesome hospitality!

4 nights 27-30 Dec 2020 : The villa property is a breath of fresh air for a staycation in Singapore. Something unique. The immaculate colonial design rooms are a exquisite. The staff's service is warm, genial and impeccable - largely due to the hands on approach from the GM, Ewan Taylor. The minutest details and fine touches made a difference to the stay - the turndown service with spiced wine, the cocktail hour, extra masks, insect spray. The bathroom design is spacious and well thought out. The scrumptious English afternoon tea spread was well put together. The local nature reserve wildlife had an interesting ecosystem, providing a backdrop of non city sounds

Interesting experience, I will give the location 5 stars, facility is 4 stars because they messed something up. In terms of service, sorry I can only give 1 star beside the breakfast, how come you had always been asked what’s your name during the stay while the whole place only has 20 rooms??? And 50% utilized at the day. Not mentioning they did not give the hotel guest the heads up of restaurant closure at night due to host a wedding, pushing the door rather not knocking when guests are inside, no good morning, can not buy afternoon tea because it was not in the package. Well, it really feels like a “农家乐”, if you know, you know.

The staff were very kind and tried their best. The greatest challenge with this nice property is that there seems to be a lack of maintenance and things have been allowed to deteriorate. Some of the design elements also need to be reconsidered if and when they refurbish. We had a good stay and the location is good. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Meals at Tamarind Hill are very good

Beautiful setting hidden away in the jungle - feels like one is not in Singapore. But even better really great service (as usual of small hotels everyone knows you by name) and a lot of amenities like free welcome drinks, dinner vouchers for Tamaring Hill and a beautiful library for reading.

4/ 5

I spent 2 nights at this accommodation and the easiest way to sum it up is that I really want to say I liked everything about my stay, but sadly that wasn’t the case. So the positives - the property is beautiful and the location is tucked out of the way. It truly feels like you’ve escaped to Cambodia or Thailand. The food also is excellent. But unfortunately, what could have been a truly memorable stay was let down by poor service. From the moment we arrived, the front desk was inattentive, service was disorganised and frenzied with many instructions to sign this and that, and no introduction to the property at all. At the room, again, no basic introduction to the room which might have been helpful to the staff because then they would have noticed that apart from towels, we had zero amenities. Not even toilet paper. Which meant I had to call several times for these missing items. When I enquired about the welcome drink, I was told it would be served with our afternoon tea. Again, no one told us when and where afternoon tea was and we had to ask. At the tea itself, there was no welcome drink unlike what was promised. I didn’t even have a choice of tea and had to request to change from what they had given me. On the second day, as we were going out, we saw the neighbouring room being cleaned and assumed ours would be next since we were leaving. But when we came back 2 hrs later, no housekeeping had been done and we were informed that housekeeping is done at a fixed time when we called to ask. Yet the housekeeping staff showed up in 5min after we called. The staff are clearly improperly trained for the hospitality industry, which is what lets this place down.

Had a staycation here just before Christmas. Enjoyed the service and the hospitality of the staff. However, felt that the pricing for the one and only villa with pool did not match. The interior was little a little dated and needed much maintenance and upgrading. There was no stable wifi at all during our 3D2N stay which meant we could not use any of the Netflix or other app based programmes at all. So we drove out for a movie instead. The pool was not too clean and not sure how often water is changed. There were broken concrete edges around the floor trap. Daughter sustained a small cut so the pool definitely needs maintenance. Blinds were missing from the toilet cum shower which meant no privacy at all, especially if you are the only man in a family of ladies. But the team solved that after a call with some drapery.
