Most elements of this establishment are at least above average. However, I am appalled by the top level of staff, who actively SUPPORT the wearing of jeans, trainers, and worst of all, HOODIES and COATS! This is completely unprofessional, and I cannot believe that this behaviour is encouraged.

It is a great school! Gave me so many opportunities! All the teachers are very kind and helpful. UTC Reading is adapting as very young school. The school is specialised in Computer Science and Engineering. They all also provide clubs which they call 'enrichment' have main fields of interest from Robotics, Art, Coding and Photography. The canteen is great too. The food has improved significantly. It is so much more vibrant and healthy now. The staff in charge of the canteen , are very friendly and optimistic people. UTC is very unique school as it tries to activities that makes us student more comfortable when we will working in the real world. UTC organises a lot of workshops and work experience. The principle of UTC, Jonathan Nicholls, is also very motivational person. Reading his article which he post every week in the morning, really gives a boost of energy which can last all day! In my opinion as an A level student, I would say UTC is a fantastic choice to sent your children who want to become the next aspiring entrepreneur, engineer, doctor, lawyer and whatever your child wish to be. Thank you, Aaryan Paul

Please Do not believe in these fabricated 5 stars review, As an Ex student whom left thier own school to come to this so called "Outstanding school" I was absolutely left speechless in what I have witnessed, The school cannot control certain children's within behaviour expectations, rules not adhered to such as the pupils leaving Coats left on, no adequate uniform on (e.g wearing airforces on). Teachers not aware of the surrounding and only one particular person whom care about dress code & behaviour is Niel, there are Teachers whom obviously don't care about education standards, Students whom constantly disrupt lessons, Teachers whom can't really control students and thier childish act, The teachers do not care (Mostly all teachers) on students academic progress, A very disorganised school/College, and teaching in some area which is dreadful whereas your given work, where there is no boundaries and no support when asked, and no explanation which are baseless which is no help for anyone, Teachers that are just stood got me questioning on how they even become qualified teachers, the teaching is definitely not "Outstanding" the Whole place itself isn't "Outstanding" Rather should be replaced to poor standards. Teachers don't really care and just sit or stand and boss around, (to add Not all but most), and no support for those whom struggle academically, A "school/College" that has failed students and not really giving a toss, Please do not come here if you just wanna fail and not make it in life. Thanks for your time reading this All the best.
