The president of this union Emily Dawes publically called for a memorial to the heroes of WWI to be destroyed , I’ll have you know both my great grandfathers fought in that war and I know I’m not a privledged little snowflake like she is who had all the opportunities in life , I think she’s a complete embarrassment not only to those who served but to the university as a whole , why have the university not stripped her of her 25k a year position at this joke of a university ?? She clearly has issues and hates men in general she’s a female incel

1/ 5

I was working for the official photographers during this summer's graduation ceremonies, & had cause to be in SUSU buildings throughout. On our final day, the team worked extremely hard after close of business to clear the areas we had occupied, & I needed a soft drink before we departed after another warm day. I approached the door of the bar, to find a doorman demanding I show ID. I told him not to be silly, as I had been in & out of the same door on many occasions, &, in any case, 5 of my colleagues had just got drinks without trouble. He persisted. I gave up & walked away. I am 71 years old, & do not expect to be treated so cavalierly. I wonder how many OAP-instigated riots the SU bar has seen? A little common-sense would have gone a long way.
