I really wanted to visit this university for the Harry Potter atmosphere you can receive (even if none of the movies was actually shot here)! The place is magical, free to visit and at one point I expected to enter the chamber of secrets :) It's definitely a place to visit in Glasgow with its magnificent buildings, the superb cloister and the incredible (and free) museum where the children can admire some dinosaur bones!

I've been attending the lunchtime concerts in concert hall at Glasgow University during the last few years. They are held on a Thursday 1.00 -2.00 p.m. thanks to the Ferguson Bequest which has funded the concert series. The range of music is very varied and you may well hear something completely new to you such as sitar, marimba, Latin American Carols, ckarsach and Shetland fiddle. The concerts are very much worth a visit. I'm sure you'll find something to your taste.

Relatively not so old buildings, but main building complex is very beautiful, both outside as inside. Part of it is the Hunterian Museum, worth a visit as well.

Must see tourist stop to Glasgow University for iconic Harry Potter cloisters, especially near Christmas with the columns wrapped in lights. Spectacular during daylight hours too for excellent architecture and a friendly environment.

The most corrupt institution I have ever dealt with. Despite providing a wealth of evidence that my teacher training had been sabotaged by somebody who bore a petty grudge against me (who was swiftly removed from their position) the whole thing was covered up.

Now is Autumn time and the leaves are in full bloom in their red and orangey hues. They are so beautiful to look at. University of Glasgow has an awe around it and it is just thrilling to look at it at night. Awesome 👏🏻

Great to revisit nearly twenty years after graduation. Took kids to the museum of zoology which I had never visited before. They pack a lot into a small space and it's free. Hunterian gallery as good as ever.
