Current resident of student family accommodation in Leeds, and so disappointed with service of how they treat a young family with a baby. The repairs service system is flawed left us without hot water, heating and not correctly logged complaints and had to jump through hoops to get it corrected and a new boiler fitted. Now our kitchen us flooded and contacted emergency repair but not considered an emergency as there are are 'lots of residents who think they have an emergency', by the way you are treated you can tell they are understaffed and their systems of management are poor. I was attracted to rent here rather than with a private landlord as they market themselves as having superior service to private landlords and caring about students, so disappointed and hope they can review and improve repairs system to be functional. UPDATE: despite the repairs system being a problem, our housing manager was very helpful and attentive in resolving the issues and made me feel much more supported

If i could give ZERO stars i would, stay away at ALL costs from UNIPOL. my family and I have been made homeless due to these lot and we have an 8 year old daughter. We moved into unipol property on Sep 2017 our rent was £500 and services charges were £50. Affordable. Year later rent increased by over £100 to £628 and on top of that they told us they would be taking over an energy supplier and we would be getting a better deal than what we were currently paying. Which we thought GREAT. Turns out was one of the worst mistakes of our lives. Our first energy after a tenancy renewal was £188.47 a month for gas electric for December. January was £194.79, February £153.43 and so forth. Considering we live in a 3 bedroom flat, I work full time husband studies and works full time and daughter is at school and after school club, heating comes on for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours at night. Our energy supplier was with octopus energy and we paid £48 a month before unipol took it over. Now essentially we have been paying nearly £900 a month to live in a 3 bedroom flat. Unipol handed us an eviction notice to leave by feb 24th 2020. On top of this any private rented property we have applied for unipol have told them we have fell into arrears and no letting agent or landlord will accept us now. Thanks unipol for putting a young family out on the street! These people have no morals and i honestly dont know how they sleep at time. They never answer the phone, never reply to emails, dont deal efficiently with any problems endured. They call themselves a charity but there nothing but sad little people. Find attached our finance scan proof that they overcharge people and have sly ways of taking money of students. ITS A MONEY MAKING SCAM/COMPANY!!!

Couldn't fault unipol for student housing. Whenever we had a problem they would sort it immediately! Our housing warden was so kind and we always felt that we could go to him the very few times we did experience issues. The house was not like how you would imagine a student home, it was lovely. Would recommend unipol to anyone!

It's interesting and extremely comforting when someone is listening. That summarizes my experience with Unipol today. I thank India Button for taking the time to read and respond to my query. Not only she understood the situation, but took genuine interest and suggested the possibilities for the future. Once again, Thank you!
