Martin did a fabulous job of removing our old enormous overgrown hedge and creating a new one. He helped us to choose suitable plants that were within budget and would be easy to shape and maintain. He and his team worked hard and ensured that we were kept informed about progress throughout. We are so pleased with our new hedge, thank you.

Townscapes were brilliant from start to finish. I felt they really listened to what we were after and therefore produced an insightful garden design that met all of our criteria. They executed that plan perfectly and when unexpected things came up (as they always do!) we felt very involved as we all discussed the various options/solutions. The finished garden is fantastic and even better than we expected. They even gave me notes on each plant and how to look after it so we can keep it looking good! The guys were polite, friendly, professional, considerate, hard working, tidy and punctual. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use again in the future.

We consulted numerous garden designers, and we chose Martin because he combined great expertise and ideas with a real willingness to work with us on a shared design. His quote was also highly competitive. And I have to say, he did a fantastic job: very efficient, lots of attention to detail, no mess, and unfailingly helpful at every stage of the process. Townscapes helped transform our derelict paved garden into a wonderful space for all the family. The work was carried out to a very high standard and the site was kept nice and tidy throughout. We are thrilled with the new space and would highly recommend for any landscaping project.

We have used Martin on two occasions and would happily use him again. Although Martin and his team are excellent in carrying out the work, his real expertise was in the design and concept work which we wouldn't have come up without his input. His last job for us required an extensive redesign and remodelling of a rather tired vegetable patch. The resulting work has given us both a raised bed and stonework paving and walls which is not only safe and practical but also beautiful as well. Thankyou Martin for a job well done.

We engaged Martin at Townscapes to design and build our front and back gardens in Hove in 2017. He turned what was a very traditional and slightly dull area in to a wonderful south facing wrap around garden, with different levels, prairie style planting (lot's of grasses, echinacea) with a theme aimed at attracting lots of bees and wildlife. He also installed a nordic wood fired hot tub, sunken trampoline, seating and dinning areas and a wooden structure for workouts and hammocks. We were super pleased with the result. Thank you Martin. Martin has just finished a patio for us which was quite a tough job but the result is perfect. He is a pleasure to have on site, courteous and tidy. Would absolutely recommend and hopefully use again.
