Toronto Private Hospital newcastle

I have been a patient of Toronto Private Hospital for many years and I have never had reason to complain about any part of this Hospital function. It has always provided me with best care and support and upon discharge they have followed up with a courtesy call to see how I am going.

The nurses, doctors and support staff have been wonderful. We had a few issues the first couple of days but the rest of the time has been really good. It would be five stars if they did not monitor the 4 visitors per day limit so strictly. There should be flexibility when it comes to immediate family members. A patient can get 4 short visits in the first hour and then they are allowed no more for the remaining four hours.

Most staff we're good but waiting to see my mum's doctor was very poor after asking 3 times. Dr Laycock was more help and not my mum's doctor.

If I could give no stars I would. My experience in the Woodlands unit was so bad that I’m still having difficulty processing the negligence that I experienced at the hands of some of the nursing staff. I left there worse than when I went in. I was terrified of going there but was told I would be safe . That was not the case. There was only a couple of nurses who I felt I could trust. Even my psychiatrist and the psychologist I saw while in there were extremely unhappy with my treatment in regards to my personal circumstances. I will be lodging a formal complaint to the hospital and am also seeking legal advice. I will never stay in that hospital again.

My husband was recently admitted to the Pallative Care Unit at Toronto Private Hospital. The staff were amazing. They treated John with dignity and kept him pain free. They helped our family cope through a very difficult time.
