For last four years i have been passed around from consultant to consultant. I had a pain near my caesarean scar and right area by scar, i was given endoscopy, colonoscopy, CT scan and MRI scan then first consultants said maybe we will find something by doing a laparoscopy so adhesions found. But still getting excruciating pain by the caesarean scar, saw consultant at Yorkshire Clinic who then referred me for a second opinion as i was not happy so eventually last year saw consultant in Jul who said they will do another laparoscopy to investigate, the op didn't take place until 17 weeks after my consultation. After op still getting pain so it put down to grey area and referred to pain relief specialist who helped with pain temporarily two sets of injections and he earlier this year said. The pain seems to be coming from scar referred me to yet another consultant whom i saw on Sept 19, this time he felt the lumps i could feel and he said have they done a scan i said all the above but he said what about a scan on scar. I said no so he said before he looks at doing a scar revision he wants to see whats around scar and requested a ultrasound. Ultrasound came through quickly when doctor who did scan was shocked and advised the pain your getting are from these showing me lumpy shades he advised its bowel tube appearing from stomach wall and its a hernia so now i have been to see the same consultant who advised that he is not a specialist in that area and he will need to refer internally to the surgical team, who i add started the process with. Now waiting for an appointment to first see them my husband was told waiting time for op is 12 weeks unless you pay then it will be sooner. Great and in emergency situation go to A&E. So if i have an ultrasound ot would of a avoided the evasive scans and ops. And now i have wait and whilst i am wait pain is still worse four year later we know what the pain is but this clinc are passing me and the wait could of been avoided. Not happy at all thank god for last consultant who was a gynecologists who did the scan. So since writing the review i have spoken to complaints but still no resolution to my situation. I am still in pain saw the surgeon whom performed a laparoscopy on me, he was doubting the senior radiologist who performed Ultrasound on me saying he wants to do another MRI to see the hernia whether it is a hernia or not. He mentioned how the Ultrasound is not 100% its too sensitive although i have never had one until the gynecologist referred me for one. The earliest i could have a MRI was December although i saw him in Nov. Another wait, i have had my MRI now waiting for the results although my pain is getting worse and i am still no further to finding out what is wrong with me. The consultant was more concerned about the fact he could not have missed the hernia when he did the laparoscopy, he mentioned that he may need to perform another laparoscopy for him to do further investigation. This concerns me as he is happy to carryout further surgery to investigate the pain rather than speak to the radiologist and establish exactly what he found. He also did not like me and my husband asking for him to put the ultrasound up so we can go through it together and understand what we saw with the senior radiologist. I feel that his ego maybe getting in the way of my health. I have asked to be referred to another surgeon in hope a resolution will be found and i will be able to change my view on Yorkshire Clinc and its care towards patients.
