The Trouville Hotel – Bournemouth

Comfortable rooms, not any extras like shampooandshower gel. Paper cups, have to go to reception to replace, food very good. Service in bars and restaurant good. Wasn't impressed with £5.50 for a single whisky!

Unfortunately, we won't be back. Not worth the money Liked · Room was clean, the cleaners are doing a good job with what they have. Location is very convenient with the beach, restaurants, shops, cinema only a short walk away. Disliked · The hotel is shabby. Pool and jacuzzi were operational, but gym equipment, sauna and pool showers were out of order. The shower in the hotel room had all but no water pressure, made worse by the old/rusty shower hose that leaked. The furniture in the rooms is old and water stained. The TV in the room had terrible reception; unusable. Remote did not work. The lights on the wall did not work, so had to use our phone torch to get to bed each night. Reported all to reception who said maintenance would go to the room while we were out to resolve; was never resolved.

First thing, rooms were very expensive. With the price i had high expection going in, sad to say the room were old and outdated. Windows where dirty and it felt like one of those cheap hostel. Travel lodge and Premier inn are much cheaper and have higher standards. They had a swimming pool, but it's very small. I stayed in a family room, the toilet had some mould, and the extractor was not working. Since the toilet did not have any windows, so you could imagine what happened next. I have stayed in some really amazing hotel for half the price. This has to be one of the worst hotel for value. Only reason i am leaving 2 star review is because the staff were friendly.

This is way overpriced the rooms are in serious need of redecorating the curtains look like they have been there since it was first built. Hanger on bathroom door was hanging off and same with toilet roll holder. Windows are filthy. Bed was lumpy and pillows are like a folded towel had to ask for more. Reminds me of the film The Shining was just waiting for someone to burst through the door with an axe. Only plus and reason it got one star was location and breakfast. Don't waste your money theres bound to be better for that price. Location doesn't warrant a high price when the rooms are that awful. Don't be fooled by the pictures the rooms really are that bad its 2 star hotel at best.

Old, dated. Rooms definitely need a refurb. No air con and fans with years of dust on them. Breakfast was good.
