Staying in the area. Busy pub, glad we had booked. Lovely welcome, enjoyed Chicken in leek and Stilton sauce and chilli dish. Both excellent, really tasty and good sized portions. Bottle of Merlot - great value at 15£. Wish this pub was near us at home !!

We love the Star Inn at Tideswell. We visited last year as they managed to fit us in last minute for a roast dinner so we thought we would visit again. There was plenty of seating outside and on Friday we had the best curry, it was so good that we had the same on Saturday and took it away to eat in our cottage because of the weather. On Sunday they cooked us the best roast dinner! Johnny and his mum are great hosts, the atmosphere is really good and the food is great too! Would definitely recommend the Star Inn and we cant wait to go back already.

A lovely little pub. Very friendly staff that show almost as much attention to any four-legged friends that you happen to bring with you. The meals are very good value and delicious. I'd certainly recommend stopping in here if you're in the area.
