I spent 8 days on ward 5b in June this year. I was also a patient there in April last year. The nursing care I received was second to none. The nursing staff were happy and smiling , nothing was too much trouble, they really did make a difference. Domestics and hosts were also kind and considerate. I know this is late, but I feel they should all be complimented for delivering such high quality care.

Attended the St Paul's part of the hospital today (eye hospital) and was surprised how dated and gloomy it was. The room where an eye test was conducted was dirty. Dust and engrained dirt on the floor. The room where I was examined my my Consultant was worse. It was a big poorly lit room that was separated into compartments. You could clearly hear other patients discussing their conditions etc. I would have expected to be seen in a private room. Staff coming and going, talking loudly in the walkway in between the partitioned rooms, communal phone constantly ringing; at times I couldn't hear the Consultant due to the surrounding noises. The hospital on a whole is shabby. It's dated, dirty and in desperate need of refurbishing. Considering St Paul's is supposed to be 'World Leading' I would at least expect it to be clean and to have a private consultation. Not in a makeshift noisy drab room.

My daughter suffered a suspected sprained ankle, and was treated in a&e by a very kind Swiss doctor. I never caught his name but he made us feel totally at ease and treated my daughter professionally and in a very friendly manner. Thanks!

Medical staff were brilliant. Domestic staff were too considering the high volume of visitors this hospital has. Ladies on the tea trolley in minor injuries weren't very nice though, they abruptly refused an elderly lady a cup of tea.

Worst hospital I've been too. 3 hour wair for something lodged in throat, and still didn't get seen! Waste of time, effort and money. Not to mention, vomit left in the waiting room! Disgusting.

Ward 3B has a wonderful team of the most friendly, kind & caring staff members, who all went above and beyond to accommodate not only my 90 year old father but also that of our family's needs. We can't thank them enough; they're a real asset to the hospital and NHS. Keep up the good work guys!
