First time to this pub after a 4 hour walk. Fabulous welcome and very friendly landlord and staff. Food was good and the atmosphere in general excellent. The dining room was full with families and couples. Recommend booking if going on a Sunday. Definitely going back.

A great pub with varying menus, some good ales on tap. 28 08 18 Update There is now new management at the Queens Head which has promised to do more seasonal menus. The food has definitely improved and there is a marked improvement in the standard of menu. If you venture here in the Autumn there will be a Mediterranean menu. There is also promise of pizza takeaway. 11 03 18 Update As a frequent visitor to the queens head, it saddens me to say that the menu choice has gone down hill. Carvery seem very popular, which may suit some. But the range on the pub menu and specials has depleted to the point of it seeming very ordinary. I came in today and there was actually nothing at all on the specials menu. I’m not a fan of carvery or fish, so this more or less left me with the option of sandwiches. On the plus side, the staff are very friendly and the establishment is very clean. 19 06 17 Update It's worth noting the Queens Head is under new management and plans are afoot for polishing up the place. The food is good as ever and the prices are reasonable especially for the area.

Very good lunch on Sunday for our group. The food was delicious for meat eaters, but for one item on the menu. Could you please make sure the vegetarian option is more appetising? The nut dish was really like cardboard. There are so many recipes around for vegetarians these days. Sorry but it is important.

We had the most wonderful time at this stunning country pub. Everything was perfect, from the warm and welcoming decor and friendly staff to the delicious food. We had two vegans in our party who were extremely well catered for, and we had one family member in a wheelchair, and she found everything perfectly accessible. My only complaint is that I live too far away to make this my local! Thank you everyone at The Queens Head - we will definitely be back!

Cracking little village pub, staff very friendly and helpful, only popped in for a quick pint on a Saturday afternoon and the place was spacious, warm and very well appointed, great covered seating area outside. Definitely be back, keep it up 👍 👌

The decor and atmosphere of this place was sublime. Only stopped over for a dink after a walk today bit really liked it here. Some members of the group ordered food and it looked great. Will have to arrange another day to sample the food. If ambience is what you look for to make you feel relaxed in a place, then the Queen's Head is the place for you.
