Physically a well-appointed sauna that is kept very clean. I should be giving it five stars, but I had a terrible experience with the private room I paid for which ended up ruining my whole weekend. From speaking to other people, it seems the issue was not just a one-off mistake on the part of the establishment, but instead a problem with either a lack of suitable process or even malicious intent on the part of one of their managers. I was sold a private room on the understanding that I would be allowed to sleep in it for a few hours. When I got to the room, the music on that floor was too loud to sleep. The assistant and I managed to turn it down a bit but when someone else started their shift he turned it up so loud I could barely think, let alone sleep. The manager apologised when I left, saying it was supposed to be quiet in that area and that the system needed to be "reset". I found this unlikely given how easily the volume was turned up just prior, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the time. However, having spoken to other customers since, the general consensus is that the manager in question is known for controlling behaviour and that other people have had exactly the same problem after paying for a room... basically, I was told that he does this deliberately. The private rooms are clearly designed for sleeping and are realistically too small for any other activity. They come with a blanket and a pillow and a bedside table. It just makes no commercial sense that in a venue where everything else is designed to encourage repeat custom, there seems to be one vital aspect of the offer that usurps the rest of it. For whatever reason, malicious or otherwise, there is a member of staff there who is pulling in the wrong direction, which is a problem I urge the owners to rectify with haste.
