Don't think twice, this is such a luxury retreat. Wonderful grounds, building and interiors. The staff are super friendly and helpful. And the food... incredibly fresh and delicious - best pork I've ever had. Check out the kitchen gardens! Only tiny downside is the WiFi is a bit weak in places (Room 4 for example).

It's not often you go to a restaurant and say absolutely everything was amazing, but it was here. I mean everything! Even the butter was delicious! (locally churned I suspect - I forgot to ask.) The setting is fabulous and the building is remarkable. It's clearly had a lot of investment and the result is a fascinating, warm and comfortable environment. By far the most impressive aspect of our visit was the service - it doesn't matter how much money is ploughed into a business, it's the staff that complete the experience - everyone we dealt with at The Pig was outstanding! We were immediately made to feel welcome and the enthusiastic team displayed the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. We really came away with the impression that they were interested in making a visit here special.

Wow! What a place. Perfect staff. So nice and knowledgeable. Great food and the best steak I've had in the UK. The atmosphere is worth a million. Drinking whiskey next to the fireplace whilst enjoying a book. Great!

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch - Getting started with cocktails in the parlour before having our meal in the conservatory. Crackling was amazing, and so was the roast pork belly. I always say the bread and butter is a strong indicator of what the quality of the food will be, and in this case it was as excellent as the food. Lovely garden ales brewed exclusively for them. Large quantities of food though - We could not order dessert!

Lovely old country house with a huge kitchen garden and deer park to amble around. Loved the decor and ambience of the place but the food was a complete let down considering its cost! Had a nice calves' liver starter but the pollack main was really overcooked and I picked out a couple of fish bones, the triple cooked chips were cremated and wasn't keen on the apple tart dessert which tasted a bit 'fatty'.

5/ 5

We have been to various hotels and restaurants in South England for big occasions but today the PiG at Bath topped the list. It is an absolutely stunning location, beautiful grounds and emaculately kept. We've been to similar style before and yet you sometimes find rough edges. Not here. Even the toilets are pristine in both fixtures and cleanliness. We had lunch in the conservatory and it's a lovely place to sit among the plants with great views of the lawn and deer fields. The service was impeccable. It may be a posh place but everyone is super polite but down to earth and never bats an eyelid if you ask questions about menus or anything else. I love the whole ethos of the place with food sourced as much as possible from the local area or the gardens themselves, you know exactly what you are eating. We took a stroll through the gardens after food and even mid winter the place is spotless. Veg gardens and neat and trim and we even spotted kitchen staff picking herbs for the evening serving. We only came for a meal but what an experience. We have no doubt we will be back to one of their hotels to eat and hopefully stay at some time in the future. Thank you!
