Went here for food yesterday when on holiday. We were made to feel really welcome. Good variety on the menu and the pie was one of the best I've had - delicious! Definitely recommend.

Food was AMAZING, hospitality was AMAZING, they were adhering to the correct track and trace and social distancing measures. Despite those being in place, they managed to still make me and my friend feel welcome. Definitely wouldn't pass up the opportunity to come here again, if anything, I'd love to hire the chef and his team because of the food being so GORGEOUS. I'd definitely recommend the Chicken with mash and the mushroom sauce as well as the BBQ Ribs. Thanks guys for being so Amazing .

Delicious food, terrible waiters.. The same table was handled by 3. One did not know what the other had already agreed with us. There is no light in the garden. I ate in the dark. It wasn't pleasant.... No one informed me how much we would wait for food.. We waited more than 1h..... Like an animal-friendly place but our pets didn't even get a bowl of water! Summarizing: Great food! Very bad service No light in the garden...

Had the Roasted Sweet potato Risotto. Although it was tasty the portion size was that of a Starter. When we brought this to the attention of the staff we were asked if we would like anything else. We asked for a side portion of Chips to compensate only to find that we were then charged for them on the Bill. When challenged about the portion size we were told that no-one else had made such a complaint . Management eventually removed the charge for the Chips. Overall, well below expectations.

Cosy-feeling traditional coaching inn with a few quirky twists. Great place to stop for a cuppa after a long walk in the hills. Also treated ourselves to ice cream - really good quality. Plenty of seating for large groups or small. Not sure how comfortable the banquette with wash-board seat backs would be (didn't risk it!). Ours was very comfy. Service friendly, quick & efficient.
