The pavilion looks neglected but the gardens are in full glory and it was good to see the little train running and the lake full of pedaloes.

Beautiful gardens. Maintained beautifully. We visited late autumn but wasn't to return in the summer to appreciate fully. Only let down its as its being renovated the loos are upstairs so disabled users are advised to use the cat park toilets but not enough of a problem to give less stars. Cafe serves lovely coffee and delicious food too.

Lovely area to walk. It's busy, but plenty of open spaces. There's a kids play area, and a mini train you can take a ride on. The grounds are well kept and its really popular. It's a stones throw from the theatre too. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area as well, so it's great. When I was there, they had local artists selling paintings along a stretch too, which was great to view, and take in.

Beautiful building in a really lovely setting. Spotless inside with clean accessible toilet facilities. We only purchased a couple of coffees but they well priced . The cafe staff were very polite and efficient. Plenty of seating inside and outside which was undercover. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant park for all the family. My kids love the train ride and play area and there is always an event of some description going on for added interest. It's especially good to visit around Christmas time or in the summer holidays. Well worth looking out for the brass band performances in the band stand. The Opera House, shops and restaurants are all nearby so make a day of it.
