I love Kew, BUT this catering arrangement, run by Ch&Co Catering Ltd, is a farce. *Food too cold *Soup had ZERO taste *Mexican pulled chicken tasted vaguely of tomato, but little else. *Rice was cheap and also tasteless *Prices were disproportionate to the low quality of the food. *Place not clean enough, including windows * waitress used small jay cloth to wipe multiple tables with no spray in sight. *Pigeons walking and flying in the restaurant *Tills strangely located I'll never eat here again, and suggest everyone do the same until they get the message. Such a beautiful historic building should not be disrespected by being so badly run.

I'm a huge admirer of Kew and, in principle, I like to support any commercial activity that helps to fund their important work. However, on future visits, I shall avoid this mediocre and expensive eatery. Think canteen-quality food, drinks and service with restaurant level prices. Bring a picnic. Or try one of the other outlets on the site.

Food tastes average but very pricey! Sausage roll costs £7.95 and wasn’t very tasty for the price

Food tastes average but very pricey! Sausage roll costs £7.95 and wasn’t very tasty for the price. Ambience appeared lovely at first glance but it isn’t until you experience being customer yourself that you realise it isn’t that great a restaurant after all. First off, the layout of the restaurant itself is very confusing as there are few counters and no clear signage of which counter to pay at. The male cashier at the end was unfriendly and seemed so unhappy to be working there, didn’t even say a word at all! Place was also dirty with birds flying in and scoffing off the crumbs on the ground. Was about to sit on the table before one of the staff members said to “wait” as she needed to clean it first. Stood there with the tray waiting for a few minutes before she came back only to give the table a 2-second wipe. Quite honestly could have done it myself. Although food restaurant average the customer service in the area was really bad. Won’t be coming back here to dine again.
